Biography

Ashley Gillman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Medical Image Analysis Team of AEHRC, based in Townsville and Brisbane. His research areas are in PET, PET/MR and MRI in the topics of protocol design, processing and analysis. He is currently investigating MR-guided PET reconstruction and Partial Volume Correction applied to the disease area of Epilepsy; PET and radiotherapy motion correction; and multimodal spatiotemporal atlas techniques for application in preterm neonatal MRI imaging.
I collaborate widely within Townsville, Brisbane, and internationally via the CCP SyneRBI, and encourage anyone interested in collaboration to reach out.

Other Interests

Software

I am passionate about scientific software, and am a contributor to projects including STIR and SIRF.

People

I am interested in helping ensure my peers enjoy a safe and equitable work environment. To this end, I am currently serving as the chair of the H&B EMCR Committee and as the H&B Representative on the ATSIP HSE Committee.
