Biography
Dr Holmes is formally trained as a polymer chemist. She has broad expertise in polymer science, ranging from modification and characterisation of polymers, nano-composites, fire retardant polymers, biodegradable polymers and composites, polymer recycling, multifunctional surface coatings as well as organic synthesis. She is currently leading the Polymer Interfaces and Composites team, which delivers to terrestrial and extra-terrestrial aerospace industries as well as working with Australian based SME's.
