Biography
I am currently employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the CSIRO as part of the Immune Resilience-Future Science Platform, to address new scientific challenges. My work focuses on enhancing our understanding of how the glycomeproteome contributes to parasitic disease pathogenesis in animals.
Within this role I am developing a glycoprotoemics platform to understand parasite glycoproteomes and characterise how they contribute to host-parasite interactions. Better understanding the glycoproteome will potentially allow the development of vaccines against ecto- and endo-parasite. Within this project I am using the CSIRO Flystrike Vaccine as a model to develop and test the glycoprotoemics platform and to use this new understanding of glycoproteomes to assist in vaccine development.
