Biography

Peci Lyons (Pethie) is a human geographer dedicated to researching how to enable equitable decision-making for social-ecological sustainability. Her work examines how technology, decision-making processes, and different knowledge systems —including Western, local, and Indigenous—can combine to foster more inclusive futures. Peci is actively involved in co-design efforts and Indigenous-led methodological approaches. Her research includes studies on climate transition and adaptation responses and collaborative and risk governance in environmental management contexts.
