Biography

Dr. Qing Liu is a senior research scientist in Data61 Software and Computational Systems Program, CSIRO. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales and worked as a research fellow at the University of Queensland. After she joined CSIRO as a research scientist and has been actively working on developing effective and efficient solutions for managing, integrating and analysing large amount of complex datasets.

Dr. Liu's recent interests involve Knowledge Graph, Large Language Models, Rule-based query framework, Provenance management and analysis and trust computation. She is the editor of the book "Data Provenance and Data Management for eScience, published by Springer-Verlag. She has published many peer-reviewed articles in high-profile journals and conferences including SIGMOD, VLDB, AAMAS, ICDE, TurstCom, ISWC, ICSOC etc. She has co-chaired and serviced for several international conferences as a PC member and a reviewer for many high profile journals. Through her collaborations with the universities, she is supervising Ph.D. and master students to study and advance the state-of-the-art.

Dr. Liu has contributed her expertise to many industry domains including supply chain, biosecurity, bioinformatics, hydrology and spatial-temporal applications. She has been leading several research projects including A Blockchain-based Verifiable ESG Credentials Platform for Hydrogen Supply Chain, Explainable Supply Chain project, Paper to Digital project, Provenance Exploration, Genome Tracker project etc.
