Biography
Robbie joined CSIRO and has worked in a number of areas related to the processing of various commodities during a career of more than twenty-five years. His primary areas of expertise relate to the leaching of ores and concentrates and more particularly the hydrometallurgical processing of nickel laterites and base metal sulphides under pressure and at high temperatures. His publications also include two reviews on the atmospheric leaching of nickel laterites while more recent articles consider approaches to improve the QXRD analysis of nickel laterite minerals and the co-processing of nickel-containing oxide and sulphide feeds. He continues to engage with clients to identify opportunities for the development of processing options for their target materials.
