Biography

Pippa Niven is a member of the Health Implementation Science team within the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC), Health & Biosecurity. She has experience conducting applied behavioural research with skills in research and evaluation design, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, project implementation and management, statistical analysis and reporting.

Pippa worked predominantly in the field of obesity prevention research during her eight years within the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer, Cancer Council Victoria. Since joining CSIRO in 2018, she has applied her expertise to patient experience and implementation science studies undertaking the role of evaluation coordinator for the HealthLinks: Chronic Care project. Following the successful completion of that project, Pippa has provided unique evaluation and implementation science technical expertise to a diverse range of AEHRC projects, including projects for key government and industry stakeholders. She leads the development of mixed methods evaluation frameworks and undertakes qualitative research to deliver research outputs that inform state and national health policy, improve models of healthcare and healthcare workflows.
