Biography
Jenny O'Connell completed her PhD in the Research School of Chemistry (ANU) in physical organic chemistry and successfully transitioned into a cross disciplinary role in organic electronics including the development of skills in the areas of thin film deposition, device characterisation, cleanroom operations and project management.
In 2017 Jenny undertook a significant career change moving out of the lab into a new role as Quality Assuance Manager, participating in the establishment of the Biomedical Materials Translational Facility (BMTF) at CSIRO in Clayton. Her work in the BMTF included certification of the facility to ISO 9001 and accredition to ISO 17025 for Activities in Support of Research and Development.
Forever looking for new challenges, Jenny now has joined the eHealth Programe in Health & Biosecurity as part of a team working towards certification to ISO 13485 for Medical Devices.
