Biography

Dr Yvette Oliver has a background of chemistry, soil science and simulation modelling. She has a keen interest in understanding the variation in both soil properties and seasons which influence crop yield and farm management decisions.

Yvette joined CSIRO in Floreat, Western Australia in 2003 to research the trade-offs between production and salinity in the farming system. Yvette been associated with CSIRO since the 90’s, starting as a technical officer to study pesticide and heavy metal transport in soils. Through employment and scholarships with CSIRO she completed both her post graduate qualifications.
