Biography
I joined the Deep Earth Imaging Future Science Platform in 2017 as theme leader, supervising a team of 8 postdocs. With research topics including remote sensing, hydrogeophysics, structural geology, geostatistics, machine learning and numerical groundwater modelling, the team aims to improve systematic conceptualisation and visualisation of groundwater systems.
Between 2010 and 2017 I was part of the Water Resource Management program at CSIRO Land and Water, where I focused on modelling groundwater dynamics at regional to continental scales for water resource management. The most important aspect in this work remains assessing uncertainty of model predictions both quantitatively and qualitatively and transparently communicating these results to a varied audience.
I authored several peer reviewed publications, contributed to the Australian groundwater modeling guidelines and to the IESC explanatory note on uncertainty analysis for groundwater modelling.
