Biography

Paul is an Innovation Connections Facilitator for Victoria. He facilitates collaborative research projects with Australian SMEs and universities, CSIRO and other research organisations.

Innovation Connections is part of the Federal Government's Entrepreneurs' Programme. It provides eligible Australian SMEs with advice and support regarding technology, knowledge and research needs. Grants of up to $100,000 (matched at least dollar for dollar by the company) are available to fund projects with research organisations.

Following a Ph.D. in Physics and postdoctoral work, Paul moved into research management and partnership development and has over 20 years’ experience of growing productive partnerships working for small and large companies, publicly funded research organisations and not-for-profits across a broad range of industry sectors. He combines detailed knowledge of the university contract research environment and processes with in-depth understanding of the challenges, practical constraints and opportunities faced by SMEs.
