Biography

Dr Alan Richardson is a Senior Principal Research Scientist with CSIRO Agriculture & Food based in Canberra, where he is Group Leader for Integrated Agricultural Systems.
His main research interest is the mineral nutrition of crop and pasture plants with a strong focus on root and rhizosphere processes that mediate nitrogen and phosphorus availability in soil, and interaction of roots with soil microorganisms and understanding of the soil-root microbiome.
He has a degree in Agricultural Science and a PhD in soil microbiology from the University of Melbourne and is an adjunct Professor at University of Western Australia.
