Biography
Dr Alan Richardson is a Chief Research Scientist with CSIRO Agriculture & Food Systems Program based in Canberra.
His main research interest is the mineral nutrition of crop and pasture plants with a strong focus on root and rhizosphere processes that mediate nitrogen and phosphorus availability in soil, and interaction of roots with soil microorganisms and understanding of the soil-root microbiome.
He is the current Interim Leader for CSIROs Microbiomes for One Systems Health - Future Science Platform.
He has a degree in Agricultural Science and a PhD in soil microbiology from the University of Melbourne and has been appointed as adjunct Professor at University of Western Australia.
