Biography

Dr. Rahman is the leader of ‘Statistical Machine Learning’ group in Data61/CSIRO. He leads a group of researchers who are enthusiastic about solving foundational machine learning problems as well as apply them to solve real world problems. Dr. Rahman led multiple projects that provided data driven solutions across numerous industries across Australia.

Dr. Rahman received his Ph.D. degree from Monash University, Australia in 2008. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. He supervises a number of PhD students in collaboration with multiple Australian universities. He served as reviewer of prestigious journals and conferences. He is the associate editor of Elsevier journal 'Information Processing in Agriculture'. Dr. Rahman is involved in organization of key workshops and conferences. Dr. Rahman a senior member of IEEE.
