Biography

Phoebe is a veterinarian with Membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and a Master’s degree in International Animal Health from the University of Edinburgh. Phoebe has worked in the field of international animal health strategy and capacity building for over 10 years and is passionate about creating and leading high functioning and productive teams and contributing improved animal health and biosecurity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Phoebe is the Group Leader for CSIRO's Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness International Program, which delivers laboratory capacity building projects across the Asia-Pacific region. The International Program consists of a highly skilled, diverse and experienced team comprising project leads, each with their own area of technical expertise, technical advisors providing support across all projects and locally engaged staff across the Asia-Pacific providing country-specific support.

Prior to commencing at CSIRO in 2019, Phoebe worked at the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in a range animal health policy roles. This included international capacity building in Timor-Leste and international animal health policy and strategy in the Office of the Australian Chief Veterinary Officer.
