Biography
Energy Leader and Manager with over 22 years research experience, most recently as Research Group Leader for Solar Technologies in the CSIRO Energy Business Unit. As Principal Research Scientist for Advanced Photovoltaics and Conjoint Professor at University of Newcastle, I am a respected and internationally recognised authority in the development of solution processed thin-film photovoltaics. Through my research contributions I have been recognised as a Fellow of the Royal Chemical Society (FRSC), Fellow Chartered Chemist of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (FRACI CChem), Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics (FAIP), Fellow Australian Institute of Energy (FAIE).
Highly awarded for my contributions to science and technology development including:
* QUT Faculty of Science, Dean’s Award for Excellence
* QLD Government ‘Growing the Smart State' Awardee
* QUT Faculty of Science and Technology, Outstanding Young Alumni of the Year
* CSIRO Office of the Chief Executive Julius Career Awardee in Energy
Through my research, development and leadership, commercial engagements under the Australian Growth Partnerships (AGP), in support of Australian small to medium enterprise (SME), has resulted in shareholdings for successful ventures with CSIRO as a shareholder.
