Biography

Dr. Miaohua Zhang has been an early career research fellow at the Efficient Computer Vision team, CSIRO Black Mountain Site, Canberra, Australia, since Jan. 2023. She is working on cutting-edge research in computer vision and machine learning. Her current research mainly focuses on domain adaption, self-supervised learning, continue learning, few-shot learning, and their applications to object detection, image segmentation, and image classification.

Before joining CSIRO, she had been a research fellow in the ARC Research Hub for Driving Farming Productivity and Disease Prevention, Griffith University, since May 2020. She received her Ph.D. degree at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia in 2019, M.Eng. degree in Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence, and B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an, China in 2014 and 2011, respectively.
