Biography

Alessio is a researcher at CSIRO’s Land & Water. His work is focused on data analytics and modelling for risk and resources management, with an emphasis on application to bushfire impact and management.

Previously, Alessio worked for ENEA Consulting as a senior consultant for the energy industry. In this role he led the data analytics and modelling services and developed a comprehensive bushfire risk model for the Victorian electricity distribution network.

Earlier, he gained international experience working for FEI as a technical consultant for the oil and gas industry. In this role he extensively contributed in the research, development and application of 4D imaging services.

Alessio’s academic background includes a Bachelor and Master of Earth Science at the Third University of Rome, specialising in hydrogeology and geomorphology, with additional expertise in remote sensing, GIS and data science.
