Biography

Alisha received her Phd from Monash University in 2005. She has a broad background in genetics and molecular biology. Her research focused on understanding the molecular basis of biological chemosensory systems and drawing on this understanding for new sensing technologies. Alisha led the Innovative Bioproducts group who developed the CYBERTONGUE® technology for rapid and sensitive chemical sensing across multiple industries including Defence, Water Utilities, Food & Beverage, and Health. Alisha draws on her experience of translating this commercially available technology to lead impact driven science.
