Biography
Jody leads the Regional Transition work in the Towards Net Zero Mission in CSIRO. This work looks at how to embed low emissions technology in systems of use in regions and support just and equitable transitions by capturing the opportunities that can flow in a low emissions economy. She is working with others in CSIRO and external partners to understand in what ways innovation support can accelerate regional transitions in differing contexts.
Jody currently leads the Agri-Food Systems Group in the Sustainability program in Agriculture and Food, which focuses on reshaping agri-food systems to be halthey, sustainable and equitable.
Jody previously helped deliver the first national assessment of the climate change vulnerability of our national plantation estate and was involved in the Bioregional Assessments a ground-breaking multi-disciplinary approach to look at whole of systems impacts including ecology, hydrology, geology and hydrogeology, for explicit assessment of the potential impacts of CSG and coal mining development on water resources and water-dependent assets such as wetlands and groundwater bore.
