Biography
Lyndall Briggs is a member of the Cellular Health team in CSIROs Health and Biosecurity Research Unit. Lyndall earned her BSc (Hons) in 1994 from the Australian National University in Canberra. Before joining CSIRO in 2002, she spent four years at the John Curtin School of Medical Research in Canberra, followed by three years at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology in London. With expertise in molecular, micro, and cell biology, she joined CSIRO to work on GRDC-funded projects focused on bioremediation and the detoxification of mycotoxins, organophosphates, and herbicides. In 2012, Lyndall was seconded to CSIRO's Health and Biosecurity Research Unit, where her research has focused on the development of biosensors for use in point-of-care detection systems and, more recently, creating advanced biomaterials from silk proteins.
