Biography
Jiyu is a postdoctoral research fellow at CSIRO’s Data61. He acquired PhD at the University of Melbourne, supervised by A/Prof. Nicholas Geard, Prof. Karin Verspoor, Prof. Justin Zobel, and Dr. Benjamin Goudey. His research focuses on utilizing computational techniques like machine learning and natural language processing to tackle real-world challenges within broad scientific domain, including psychology, biology, and healthcare. He has led projects that focus on assisting medical professionals for automating information extraction on electronic medical records, automating quality assessments for biological databases, integrating bio-ontologies into machine learning systems, and applying social media analysis for understanding emotion regulation in mental health resilience.
