Biography
Liz is a Program Advisor in CSIRO SME Connect where her role is to assist in the development of the ideas and innovations of Australian small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through research collaboration.
Liz's primary role is to support two programs within SME Connect: the Innovate to Grow and WA Food Internship programs. Innovate to Grow, assists Australian SMEs to learn about engaging in R&D projects with organisations such as CSIRO and Australian Universities through an 8-week online development course. Whereas the WA Food Internship program (WA Food Industry Education Collaboration Program) places tertiary STEM students into paid internships with WA businesses from the food and beverage sector. Liz is a science and research advocate with a strong interest in the economic contribution of SME's and regional development. Liz's working history expands across the mining and resources, environment, agriculture, wine and food sectors, with a focus on program development and collaboration with impact.
