Biography
I have over 20 years of experience in international development programmes solving complex problems and enhancing livelihoods. As a practitioner working in CSIRO, my work has focused on providing technical support and managing projects focused on agri-food innovation systems, pro-poor value chains in agricultural and fisheries, gender integration, and climate adaptation. My core skills include participatory planning and implementation processes, innovation and partnership brokering, and innovation capacity building. I am accredited with Partnership Brokering Association.
My current projects include developing models of partnership and engagement for research commercialisation and agricultural innovation; knowledge and innovation brokering to mainstream climate adaptation decision-making; and developing inclusive value chains for poor households, women and youth.
Prior to joining CSIRO in 2013, I ran my own environmental consultancy in Mozambique and worked for District Council in New Zealand and the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
