Biography

Sean Cosijn is a Mechanical Engineering Student from the University of Queensland, based in Brisbane, Queensland. His interests lie in the Humanitarian Engineering field, exploring avenues such as the Energy Transition, Appropriate Technology, and how varying cultural environments and backgrounds inform decision-making regarding technology development.

Sean is currently completing his masters project, and as such is collaborating on CSIRO's 'Responsible transition pathways for new carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies' project. His contribution will explore the role marine CDR (mCDR) startup companies play in the larger mCDR sociotechnical system, and how they impact other stakeholders ethically, socially, legal, & politically.
