Biography
Silvano Colombo Tosatto studied computer science at the Universita' di Torino, where he got his master degree in 2010 defending his thesis entitled “Neural Symbolic Learning Systems: Neural Networks for Normative Reasoning”.
Silvano received his Ph.D. in computer science at University of Luxembourg in co-tutele with Universita' di Torino in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Leendert van der Torre and Prof. Guido Boella. During his Ph.D. Silvano's main line of research has been working on the computational complexity of proving regulatory compliance, culminating in its Ph.D. thesis: "Proving Regulatory Compliance: Business Processes, Logic, Complexity".
Silvano is currently a Postdoc Fellow in the Data61 team at CSIRO, where he is focusing his research on business process compliance, normative reasoning, and blockchain technologies.
