Biography
I am an applied social researcher advancing our understanding of the social impacts of industries and innovations, and how to manage such.
For over a decade, I have been contributing to the research and social change of how relationships with stakeholders of resources are managed and the implications for best practice stakeholder engagement, including what constitutes a social licence and responsible innovation. My contributions have been focused on the energy and mining industries, but also extend to agriculture. In doing so, I have collaborated with industry, policy-makers and communities, including people that may be more impacted, such as Traditional Owners, low income households and farmers. I bring to such collaborations, an academic background in business, psychology, sustainability and research methods.
Also in my role, I have been an appointee to the Queensland Government’s Youth Environmental Council, presented both locally and internationally, published in journals, books and was awarded a best paper.
When you review my publications, also look for my previous surname, 'Carr-Cornish'.
