Biography
Mubin is a post doctoral research fellow of Agroecology team in Agriculture and Food business unit. His research focuses on the analysis of weather radar data to forecast the insect and pest outbreak across Asia-Pacific regions by using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (MLAI) approaches. The developed MLAI approaches will be used to provide real-time analytics and timely alerts of migratory insect pest activity using weather radar data across the region, to underpin secure food systems. His project also focuses on analysing the potential correlation between the climate change and insect migration.
Mubin has the research experience to apply MLAI approaches in different and diverse domain, which includes agriculture, health, software engineering, cyber security, and cloud computing. He obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. During his graduate program, he developed a web-framework to assist the farmers of Bangladesh to optimally find their seed collection centre. During his PhD at the University of Adelaide, he developed novel approaches to apply MLAI models to solve some critical cyber security related issues in collaboration with Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC), Australia and South Australia Health.
