Biography

Dr Candice Jones is a Bioengineer at the High-Throughput Advanced Engineering Biology (AEB) facility at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency.

Candice leads the development of innovative high-throughput workflows to rapidly build and test new biotechnologies. She collaboratively works with internal and external teams to develop innovative biotech that addresses some of Australia’s greatest problems. She is passionate about training current and future scientists in high-throughput workflows so that these capabilities can be used to accelerate Australia’s bioeconomy.

Candice joined CSIRO in 2021 while completing a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology at The University of Queensland.
