Biography

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jyothi has joined the Processing Team based at our Waterford site in Jan 2024. He is a Senior Research Scientist, Critical Minerals Hydrometallurgy Innovations.

Rajesh has over 20 years of R&D experience in hydrometallurgy (After PhD), sustainable recycling and secondary resource innovation, and clean energy technology solutions and applications. He completed a BSc and MSc at Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), and PhD with CSIR-IICT & SVU in India. He then joined KIGAM in Korea where he has undertaken roles of Associate Professor (becoming Professor in 2018), Senior Researcher and Principal Researcher.

He has received numerous awards and is an editorial board member of several journals. He has published 5 books, 7 book chapters, 9 patents, 12 review articles, 102 research articles, 55 conference papers, 62 abstracts and has a h-index of 29 (Scopus Jan 2024). Rajesh is excited to be joining the CSIRO team and will be working on opportunities in critical minerals.
