Biography

Dr Chathurika Mediwaththe is a Research Scientist within Energy Systems, CSIRO. She is also an honorary research fellow and lecturer at the School of Engineering, The Australian National University where she held a research fellowship position before joining CSIRO. She obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and a BSc (Hons.) (1st class) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

Her research interests are in mathematical modelling, optimisation and control, game theory, and data analysis with applications in power systems including distributed energy storage and renewable power generation integration, electricity demand-side management, and smart grids.
