Dr Tim Munday

Tim has worked in CSIRO for over 30 years specialising in the application of geophysics, particularly airborne electromagnetics, for minerals exploration in covered settings, but also in the search for groundwater resources. He has driven a research path involving the development and application of geophysical technologies for understanding minerals, water and environment, believing that they are intimately linked research sectors. He recently completed a six year term as the Research Director of CSIRO’s Deep Earth Imaging Future Science Platform. Tim now works as a Principal research scientist in the Discovery Program of CSIRO Mineral Resources.
