Biography

I am a CERC Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIRO with a varied background in mathematics and statistics. Moving from Pure Maths, to Statistics, and now Applied Maths, I have a love for all things maths and data related. I have a passion for teaching and exploring the best way to explain complex ideas. A particular niche I find myself constantly exploring is engaging in transdisciplinary research to merge ideas from a variety of different scientific fields. My current work is exploring the interface of infectious disease modelling and behavioural science to define better "business-as-usual" forecasting models, and ultimately trying to understand the complex feedback loops of how behaviour affects behaviour, how behaviour affects disease spread, and how disease spread affects behaviour.
