Biography
Monika's primary role is to manage the delivery of curriculum in international programs and manage the delivery partners (both national and international), to allow start-ups and small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to learn and navigate their overseas expansion opportunities. Key programs include:
- India-Australia RISE Accelerator
- Technology Commercialisation Challenge (India/Australia)
- Venture Exchange Program (Singapore, Australia, Thailand)
Monika has previously worked across the SME Strategy Team, driving internal and external initiatives, that enable CSIRO to engage more effectively with the national SME innovation ecosystem and drive the importance of working with SMEs and start-ups.
In addition, Monika has previously managed the operational aspect of the Innovate to Grow, an online program for SMEs to understand the value of R&D and worked as a facilitator for the CSIRO Kick-Start program.
Monika started working at CSIRO in 2017 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Medicinal Chemistry field in the Manufacturing research unit before changing paths to her current role within Innovation Programs, Science Connect.
Her strengths are in program management, stakeholder engagement (national and international), and getting pilot programs and new initiatives off the ground.
