Biography
Dr Monika Szabo is a SME Collaboration Manager within SME Connect, Science Connect (Clayton, VIC).
Monika is currently working in the India-Australia RISE Accelerator program, which enables Indian and Australian SMEs and start-ups to commercialise their technology and/or product into either India or Australia.
Monika's primary role is to manage the Accelerate Phase of the program, particularly the curriculum and delivery partners (both national and international), to allow participants to learn and navigate their overseas expansion opportunities into either India or Australia.
Monika also works across the SME Strategy Team, driving internal and external initiatives, that enable CSIRO to engage more effectively with the national SME innovation ecosystem and drive the importance of working with SMEs and start-ups.
In addition, Monika manages the operational aspect of the Innovate to Grow, an online program for SMEs to understand the value of R&D and how to engage with CSIRO and/or other Australian universities.
Monika started working at CSIRO in 2017 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Medicinal Chemistry field CSIRO's Manufacturing business unit before changing paths to her current role within Science Connect. Her strengths are in program management, stakeholder engagement (national and international), and getting pilot programs and new initiatives off the ground.
