Biography

Dr Paul Tyler is the leader of the Data Privacy Team at Data61, CSIRO. The team is part of the Information Security and Privacy Group. He has considerable experience leading privacy based projects involving quantification of re-identification risks in data and in privacy preserved data sets. This includes leading projects tasked with releasing privacy preserved Opal transport data for Transport for NSW and work with energy data. Paul and his team have developed the re-identification risk quantification tool R4 based on research by the group. He is a Principal Research Projects Officer with previous experience working in transport and optimisation based research.

In earlier work as a partner with Transport for NSW, he has been instrumental in managing the deployment of an Australian first ongoing deployment and trial of connected vehicles. The trial is known as CITI.`
