Biography

Dr Hongxing Zheng is a senior hydrologist in CSIRO, with specific interests in hydroclimate and hydrological modelling. Since joining CSIRO in 2010, Dr Zheng has contributed to numerous externally funded projects on hydrological forecasting and hydrological projection. He has extensive research experiences in hydrological prediction in ungauged basins, hydrological modelling under non-stationarity, application of remote sensing in hydrology, and modelling the impacts of climate change and land use change on hydrological cycle and water resources. He has published widely in these areas, with 50+ peer reviewed publications. Before joining CSIRO, he has been working at Institute of Geographical Science and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a hydrologist on a range of state-scale projects regarding to sustainable water resources management. In 2005, he worked as a fellow scientist at the Institute for Human and Nature, Japan.
